Sunday June 22nd, 2025 at 10:30am
Ratha Yatra, or the Festival of Chariots, is a joyous event celebrated for thousands of years in the Indian holy city of Jagannath Puri, and more recently by Krishna devotees in cities around the world. The Festival celebrates Lord Krishna’s return to Vrindavan and signifies the Lord’s love for His devotees.
The parade will start at the Yogi Divine Temple (2 Lincoln Ave, Lake Hiawatha NJ) and end at ISKCON Parsippany’s new temple site (10 Baldwin Road, Parsippany) with a colors festival from 2PM to 5PM at the ISKCON Temple site, cultural programs and a free vegetarian feast. All are welcome.
Free parking at Parsippany High School.
“I very much welcome events such as this, which will help us all to celebrate the values and benefits of diversity… but also shows the positive expression of belief that is characteristic of the Krishna consciousness movement.”
