Current Status (November 2021)
Project is fully under construction, see latest photos in the news section. We require another $1.5 million to move into the new facility and begin our services currently targeted by Radhastami 2022. We currently have a $2 million loan from the bank and will need to raise the remaining $1.5 million over the next 10 months.
Previous Accomplishments
Site Search: An extensive endeavor spanning multiple years was undertaken to locate the ideal site for the proposed temple.
Land Purchase: The new 3.2 acre site was purchased by ISKCON of New Jersey, Inc. for $1.9 Million with the support of our congregation members, friends and well-wishers.
Survey & Engineering: The sloping nature of the landscape offered us abundant options for creative design of the building and required a sophisticated survey and engineering plan.
Landscaping: A very well-respected landscape architecture firm has created for us beautiful green-scapes that promote harmony and serenity.
Architecture: The final design was a synergistic product of very talented architects who are deeply familiar with classical Indian architecture as well as the sophisticated needs of a modern community building.
Township Application: All the endeavors carried out in the planning and design phases culminated in the compilation of a completed application that met all the stringent requirements of the township.
Final Approval: After a thorough review and hearings process with the Parsippany Zoning Board, the temple received unanimous approval from all seven members of the Township board on November 6, 2013.
Fundraising: Raised $4 million required for Phase I construction.
